How to Qualify

Manufacturers of Solar Reflective Coatings:

Cool-America is accepting applications from manufacturers of "qualified" solar reflective coatings for roofs, pavement, and exterior paints.   If you have had your product tested by and independant accredited lab, and know its solar reflectance rating, please submit your technical date sheet with an email requesting registration.  All products submitted will be reviewed by the Standard Ratings Council for review, classification, and certification under this program.  Please send email to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Architectural Engineer Firms

Cool-America is seeking  Archehitectural Engineering Firms to participate in the Cool-America Planforimplementation of solar reflective standards established by Department of Energy standards for  C02 offsetting.  Cool-America standards exceed those of establish through LEEDS because of a new class of state-of the art coating materials  just now becoming available which raise the bar to .4 SRI for maximum solar reflective offsetting and measurable energy efficient results.  Inquiries should be made at:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Painting & Construction Contractors:

Cool-America is looking for painting and construction contractors in every major city to train for a variety of "Cool Pavement" applications.  "Cool Pavement" is a new field of  expertise which is a cross-over between coatings industry technologies and road technologies.  Training requires a 3 day session, and includes the DOE "Science of Cool" instructional, materials handling orientation, and field training including on-site mixing and application techniques.  Only licensed contractors may apply at:
